EGL Receives Honorable Mention for Outstanding Student Organization
For the third year in a row, EGL has been recognized as an outstanding student organization as part of the Michigan Leadership Awards through the Office of Student Activities and Leadership.
EGL Expands College-Wide
For over 15 years, the Engineering Global Leadership program has provided Industrial and Mechanical Engineering students at the College of Engineering the opportunity to earn a Master's degree while completing Business and Culture Core requirements. However, in 2005, the administration decided to open up this program to students of all CoE departments. Providing a skill set valuable to any student, EGL has already attracted dozens of new students from these departments, and expects this expansion to fuel significant growth in the program.
With the increased diversity of the academic program, the presence of the EGL Honor Society is more important than ever. We exist to provide support, share experiences, and build a community among EGL students. For many, this is an excellent opportunity to get exposure to students, classes, and activities outside of their own departments. And because of this, many students have elected to earn a Master's degree in a different department than their undergraduate degree.
